The Royal Observatory of Edinburgh has been a centre for the development of astronomy and astrophysics in the UK and Europe for more 200 years. The University of Edinburgh offers a self-contained bachelor’s degree in Astrophysics, based on a general education in physics and applied mathematics during the first two years and the access to courses in modern topics of astrophysics as stellar evolution, advanced cosmology, computational physics or galaxy formation theory. Thanks to my results in the International Baccalaureate, I was able to jump directly to 2nd year and finish the degree in 3 years.
